Phillida Miles has worked in health and social care for over twenty four years. Before becoming a consultant she gained extensive experience as a social work practitioner and manager in a wide range of services.  She has also designed, organised and run many training, team and business development events for basic grade and senior staff. These incorporate legislation, national policy and new research.

Courses range from small intensive groups to large scale events for sixty participants or more. Each are uniquely tailored to deliver the agreed outcomes using a variety of teaching approaches and original material and range from Fair Access to Care Services (FACS), outcome based practice, safeguarding adults and children, solution focused management and attachment theory.

• Attachment and resilience in children for a county council since 2002

• Consultancy and training programme to assist a children’s service to be taken off ‘special measures’ in 2005
